The whole area of relationship is a minefield. Juggling the balance
of individual and personal progress with the need to accommodate
joint schedule and the sacrifices demanded by partnership has never
been so tricky. Maybe good relationship is an art form - rather like
painting or calligraphy (you need to have the motivation before the
patience is possible). Maybe you also need to be indifferent to the
long-term consequences and just be totally aware of the pleasure
zones and the deeper urges which bring two people together in the
first place. After all, what is someone to do when the attraction
for another person doesn't fit the remit! Renounce the urge or pursue
it? A lot depends on the moral outlook or the cultural pressures!
Or does it?....
