Those old associates - or intimates - whom one thought were around forever! Those familiar and much loved or admired faces … all revealing another side, another mask, another veneer. Or those people we thought of as not worthy of our time, or not sympatico with our own vibe … proving to be just that; and if not the exact opposite, then something far removed from the original.
Uranus rules Aquarius, and is a higher octave of Mercury - ruler of Gemini. So it makes perfect sense, astrologically, to re-evaluate the former opinion. Uranus loves nothing better than to surprise by revelation, or sudden turn of events. The period of come-back-all-I-said and well-I-never is truly upon us.
In August last, the gaps and tears and shifting of previously solid foundations began to appear. The inexplicable endings to things which looked set in stone, as Uranus seized Gemini, but loosely, and now the jury is out on those estrangements, those irreparable rifts in understanding. Those incomprehensible parting of the ways.
The time to choose teams, or pledge allegiances. Or the termination of the same, in some places, is unavoidable. In personal and transpersonal, and private and collegiate situations. When Uranus retrogrades back into Taurus in November 25 there may be attempts at re-forging, or attempts to recoup or recover lost and shaky ground. But not until February 26 will it be apparent which of it is irreversibly successful. By mid May, when Uranus enters finally into Gemini and grips for the next seven years, the sides have to be chosen. The bridging of ravines in time, territory and loyalty.
The last time Uranus transited Gemini was September of 1941 to June of 1949. Though it’s said that history never repeats itself exactly. Uranus loves to stretch back and move forward - it rules both the ancient and the new, and is no great believer in chronological time-scale.
Reversals and juxta-positioning, through Uranus the transformer and disrupter, the magician, and the revolutionary disposer of stability and hierarchy! And Gemini the flyer of high ideas and the master of quick-change.
