Full Moon in Pisces today (28th) opposes Sun & Mercury in Virgo and squares Uranus in Gemini: ultimate battles for truth amid split loyalties or divided directions. Mercury prevails as ruler of both Virgo and Gemini, and shows possibilities and means. But with Neptune taking advantage and hosting the Moon in its own sign, the choices and options could be deceptive. Or perhaps disappear before they are fully shaped. Guard the motives carefully as the effects take shape, or the confusions overtake the benefits of results. The truth is somewhat obscured by elaboration or delusion in a lot of cases. Sensible to wait until next Tuesday when the Moon/Aries has moved over Neptune and clarity defines better strategy.

Mercury Direct in Cancer ... astrology in brief

Mercury turns direct in Cancer today (23rd) and issues are often at the most difficult or confusing when the little planet ot connectivity and communication begins to move forward. Its circular motion of mid June to now is certainly unlocking but not opening fully until the end of the first week of August. Mercury loosely trines Moon/Scorpio for a good part of today and a lot of artifacts, documents and people are not where they should be. Arguing with Mars/Gemini until well into August, it pulls sensitive or personal issues to and fro and awaits the assistance of Mars’ grip in Cancer on the 12th of the month to move things in a cohesive direction.

Mercury/Cancer Retrograde & New Moon

Mercury continues retrograde in Cancer - and emotions run high, possibly disguised as something else .. camouflage, posturing and chameleon-like displays .. as genuine feelings become difficult to ignore but also to express. Personal, intimate or sensitive issues are harder to process, possibly due to the Neptune/Aries influence. 

Cancer, Aries, LIbra & Capricorn people affected the most. While everyone else may be downwind of the main scene, the New Moon’s movement over Mercury today (14th) pushes main causes to the back and renders them harder to process - leading in some cases to extravagant displays or gestures as the Moon joins Jupiter on Wednesday/Thursday.

Jupiter is now gripping the magnanimous Leo for the next twelve months. Presently opposing the autocratic Pluto in Aquarius until the third week of July: generosity of spirit with caveats, enhancement of focus required until then. The last part of this month - as Mercury goes direct in Cancer after the 23rd - sees the need for anchoring lasting or profound markers towards prominence and success in endeavours that have been in careful or modest preparation for some time. 

The blossoming of various displays, debuts and pursuits for excellence. Those who are weary and worn down by effort may take heart as progress moves closer to better connection, intrinsically linked to success where effort and care have been maintained. The 11th to 15th August are significant next dates, when Jupiter enlists Mercury and the Moon in sparking instigation and sudden openings.

Moon Full in Capricorn (29th) opposes Sun Cancer by evening.. Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer today, making a brief and easy aspect to Mars entering Gemini. Assistance needs to be practical or organised and can be effective in stages, or with delays. Moon in temporary difficult aspect to Pluto/Aquarius; total refusal in some parts to requests for entry or authorisation. Mars moving over Uranus/Gemini by Friday trines Pluto; an elastic band effect … stretching, breaking, and untimely disappearances. 

Welcoming the Summer Solstice … 21st June.

The Sun enters Cancer and squares Neptune/Aries by Thursday : excellent for enlarging the substance of ideas and expansion beyond current limits. Moon in Virgo until Monday squares both Mercury and Jupiter, progressing in Cancer, and aids towards productive and clearer fruition. But developmental movement prior to next weekend and Mercury’s retrograde motion in Cancer on the 29th is favourable.

Otherwise struggles can ensue to maintain pace and balance which peak in July and early August. These can become led weights or swinging pendulums in repetitive cycles. Hard to break until early 2027.

FULL MOON IN SCORPIO ... undercurrent, flattery & distant connection

Full Moon in Scorpio today (1st) is a flower Moon, opposing Sun in Taurus which argues with both Venus/Gemini and Saturn/Aries : some serious undertones disguised as compliments or benefits, while the deeper connotations of a lot of issues are not being heard or recognised. Dividing the consensus of opinion until Monday when Mercury grips Taurus and refuses to let go of demands for explanation or basic facts. Until next weekend’s Moon/Aquarius brings some unique proposals or strange suggestions from unexpected or unknown sources over three days.

And some of these are deepening and strengthening until the planet grips Leo in July - revealing or highlighting what presently can’t be seen.
